Library Board

The Library Board meets the third Monday of each month in the library. They make policy and operational decisions for the public library. The library has two very active and effective volunteer citizen groups. They are the "Friends of the Library" and the "Library Foundation".

The "Friends of the Library" has been in existence for some time. The "Library Foundation" was formed when a group of citizens decided that the city needed a new library. This organized & enthusiastic group raised over $1 million in donations for a state-of-the-art library. The City's capital improvement tax was obligated to complete the project. The result is a library of which any city would be proud.
