Planning and Zoning Commission

This commission is responsible for the planning and zoning ordinances for the City of West Plains. They determine zoning districts, development regulations, comprehensive plans and other items related to the growth and development of the city. Their suggestions are taken under advisement by the City Council which must approve all planning and zoning changes by ordinance.
Persons wishing to seek a variance or to appeal a zoning regulation should contact the Board of Adjustments & Appeals. Appeal applications are available through the Board's Web page.

Meeting times are the first Thursday after the second Wednesday of each month at city hall. Citizens wishing to address the Commission or place an item on its agenda should contact City Clerk Connie Shelton by the last day of the month prior to the commission meeting date.
