BILL NO. 3748                                                                ORDINANCE _________

 

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THAT ALL CITY OR RURAL CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE MULTIPLE USERS ON ONE WATER METER SHALL PAY A MINIMUM CHARGE BASED ON A ¾” METER REGARDLESS OF THE SIZE OF THEIR METER.

 

            WHEREAS, it has been determined that owners of property who have multiple users on one water meter should be charged the ¾ “ meter minimum charge (on the main meter) regardless of the size of their meter; and

 

            WHEREAS, the City of West Plains, Missouri has determined that this is a fair and reasonable policy to adopt for city and rural customers of the City of West Plains, Missouri are set forth in Sections 1-5 below.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST PLAINS, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1: That all customers who have multiple users on one water meter shall pay a minimum charge based on a ¾” meter regardless of the size of their meter.

 

Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days from and after its date of passage and approval.
