BILL NO.3757 ORDINANCE ________

AN ORDINANCE NAMING A SECTION OF BROADWAY STREET LOCATED BETWEEN WASHINGTON AVENUE AND COLLEGE STREET THE JACKIE D. GARRETT DRIVE.

WHEREAS, Jackie D. Garrett served as a dedicated reserve fireman and in the MASTERS Program for many years; and

WHEREAS, Jackie D. Garrett worked tirelessly for the good of the community and has earned the respect and honor of the City and all South Central Missouri; and

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Plains deems it appropriate to name this section of Broadway in the city limits of West Plains the Jackie D. Garrett Drive.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST PLAINS, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: The section of Broadway between Washington Avenue and College Street shall be named the Jackie D. Garrett Public Drive.

Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days from and after its day of passage and approval as provided by law.
