BILL NO. 3759 ORDINANCE _______

AN ORDINANCE CORRECTING CERTAIN PARTS OF SECTION 74-39 SOLID WASTE SERVICE CHARGE; USER FEES

WHEREAS, certain corrections are needed in Section 74-39 City Code of Ordinances relating to service fees for residential solid waste pickup, charges for dumpsters, charges for roll-off units, and landfill use.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST PLAINS, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1: The following sections of Chapter 74 – Solid Waste are hereby revised or deleted as follows:

Sec. 74-39(a)(1) Service charge. There is hereby imposed, for the collection and disposal of solid waste, in order to protect the general public health and environment, a service charge for each dwelling unit and each commercial establishment. The service charge for collection of residential solid waste per calendar month shall be in the amount of $9.00.

Sec 74-39(a)(2) Service charge for dumpsters. This section shall be deleted.

Sec. 74-39 (b)(1) User fees; commercial and dumpster rates. The following shall be added to existing charts:

MONTHLY DUMPSTER RENT

1 Yd 7.00

1 ½ Yd 8.00

2 yd 9.00

3 yd 12.00

4 yd 14.00

6 yd 19.00

8 yd 24.00

Sec. 74-39(b)(2)(a) Commercial roll-off units: The service charge for commercial roll-off units shall be $100.00 per pull plus $40 per ton plus rental of roll-off units as follows:

1. Twenty cubic yards, per day……………………….$2.00

2. Thirty cubic yards, per day…………………………$3.00

3. Forty cubic yards, per day……………… ………..$4.00

Sec. 74-41 Exemption of charges for certain use of landfill.

This section shall be deleted.

Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after its passage and approval.
