BILL NO. 626 RESOLUTION NO. __________
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WEST PLAINS AND THE CREDIT BUREAU OF HOWELL COUNTY FOR COLLECTION SERVICES.
WHEREAS, when citizens do not pay utility and other bills due the City, there is a serious loss of revenue; and
WHEREAS, an aggressive collection program must be undertaken to protect city revenues; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of West Plains, Missouri deems it wise and necessary to pass this Resolution authorizing an agreement with the Credit Bureau of Howell County for past due collection services.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST PLAINS, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of West Plains, Missouri does hereby authorize the agreement by and between the City of West Plains and the Credit Bureau of Howell County a true copy of said agreement attached hereto and made a part hereof to be known as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect after its days of passage and approval.
