MINUTES
WEST PLAINS SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
March 13, 2001

The City Council met for a special council meeting at 4:00 on March 13, 2001. Members present were Mayor Joe Paul Evans, Councilman Jack Pahlmann, Councilman Louis Citro, Councilwoman Judy North and Councilman Bob Burtrum. Also present were City Clerk Shelton, and City Administrator Fugate.

I. PRELIMINARIES:

Mayor Evans established a quorum and called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. City Administrator Fugate gave the invocation and Councilman Citro led the pledge of allegiance.

II. READING OF BILLS:

A. Bill 3709 to become Ordinance 3709. An Ordinance increasing sewer rates for city and rural customers of the City of West Plains, Missouri was given first reading. The motion was made by Councilman Citro and seconded by Councilman Pahlmann to accept first reading of Bill 3709.

Motion passed.

I. BUDGET WORK SESSION

A. Council reviewed the proposed budgets for city and utility funds (summaries attached). It was agreed to add $12,500 to the public safety roof budget and $1,500 to the landscaping budget for City Hall. Also, for the utility budget, $3,000 was added for a straw shed in the Refuse Disposal Department and $16,000 in the Refuse Department for a fence. This budget will be finalized and considered for approval March 26.

II. ADJOURN

The motion was made by Councilman Citro and seconded by Councilman Pahlmann to adjourn.
