The City Council met for a special council meeting at 4:30 p.m. on April 8, 2002 at City Hall. Members present were Mayor Joe Paul Evans, Councilwoman Judy North, Councilman Jack Pahlmann, Councilman Louis Citro, and Councilman Bob Burtrum. Also present were City Clerk Shelton and City Administrator Fugate
Mayor Evans established a quorum and called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m
Council reviewed election results as verified by the Howell County Board of Verification:
Councilperson 4-year term – Judy North Yes 1,125
Transportation Tax Proposition: Yes 812 No 728
The motion was made by Councilman Citro and seconded by Councilman Burtrum to accept the election results as presented. Motion passed unanimously.
City Clerk Connie Shelton administered the oath of office to Judy B. North for a 4-year term.
Council reviewed state statutes. The motion was made by Councilman Pahlmann and seconded by Councilman Burtrum to appoint Judy North Vice President of the Council. Council members then divided department responsibilities as follows:

The motion was made by Councilman Pahlmann and seconded
by Councilman Burtrum to appoint Lou Citro to the Planning Commission as
council representative. Motion passed
