WP R-7 Unveils New Subscription Links!

Be in the know! Aug. 9: Governor Matt Blunt will be at the WP Opera House for a D.R.E.A.M. (Downtown Revitalization Economic Assistance for Missouri )  presentation.  A reception will begin at 9:45 a.m. and the governor will speak at 10 a.m.  Members of the WPHS Band will perform. 

Aug. 9:   Hickory Hills Jamboree will feature “Boogie Woogie Country Band” in the WPCC Theater at 7 p.m.   Free area appreciation show.

Aug. 10:   A dance is held each Friday at the West Plains Senior Center from 7 to 9:30 p.m. All ages are welcome and admission is $3.

Aug. 10:   The Yellow House will host Open Mic Night every second Friday from 7-10 p.m.  Poets, musicians, storytellers—this is your time to shine.  Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

Aug. 11 :  The Second Saturday Downtown Strolls are held the second Saturday of each month April-December from 5 p.m.-9 p.m.  Members of the Downtown Association host free music and art exhibits. 

Chris's Frame Shop will host a Middle Eastern and Lyrical Dance troupe, including belly dancers, from Springfield , photography by Bill Summers and Paintings by the WP Artist Guild.

            The E-Shop will have a grand opening with prizes .

Healthy Lifestyles will host “ Spoken For,” a gospel singing group.

Aug. 13 : The WPHS Counseling office will be on hand in the cafetorium from 5-6:30 p.m. for an informal Freshman Parent Orientation prior to the Open House, which is from 6:30-8 p.m.

Aug. 14 :   Square Dancing is held every Tuesday in the WPCC at 6 p.m.  The $3 cost includes lessons and refreshments.

Dec. 2 :  A “ Celebration of the Season ” will be performed by the MSU University Community Band of Springfield and the Ozarks Festival Chorus of WP at 3 p.m. in the WPCC Theatre.  FREE
